TRANSAMERICAN AUTO PARTS ANNOUNCES THE “LIFE IS BETTER OFF-ROAD™” SEMA VEHICLE BUILD AWARD

Compton, California (July 8, 2015) – Transamerican Auto Parts is proud to introduce the “Life is Better Off-Road™” SEMA builder award. Launching this year at the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, the “Life is Better Off-Road™” award is an annual industry prize awarded by Transamerican Auto Parts to the best presented, truly off-road capable truck, Jeep or SUV on display at the show.
This award is open to all off-road vehicle constructors and product manufacturers on display at the SEMA show and will be judged by an elite panel of industry experts. As the off-road performance category continues to grow in popularity at the annual event, the Transamerican Auto Parts “Life is Better Off-Road™” award will recognize the unique technological achievements and engineering advancements specific to the development of aftermarket products for off-road trucks, Jeeps and SUVs.
“It is an honor for us to have an opportunity to recognize the builders, fabricators and manufactures who are the driving force behind the impressive growth of the off-road industry with this award,” said Transamerican Auto Parts President and CEO, Greg Adler. “There are so many incredible builds on display at the SEMA Show each year, and we’re proud to now be able to distinguish the vehicles that truly represent the best of what off-roading is all about.”
The panel of judges, representing a cross-section of the off-road industry will include fabricators, journalists industry personalities and professional off-road racers. They will select 10 semi-finalists from among the submitted entries based on such criteria as off-road reliability and capability, real-world functionality, quality of craftsmanship and overall vehicle presentation. From those contenders, one Jeep and one truck / SUV will be chosen as the two finalists to vie for the prestigious designation of being named the most authentic off-road-capable vehicle at the show.
The award, a custom designed trophy, will be presented by Transamerican Auto Parts President and CEO, Greg Adler, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 5th at the ProComp / Transamerican Auto Parts Booth #62112 within the SEMA SCORE Baja 1000 Experience Area (Located outside of the South Hall in the Silver Lot).
In addition to the award itself, the winner will receive a cover feature and multi-page vehicle spotlight in ORA Magazine, a professional photo shoot, recognition across the spectrum of Transamerican social media and digital channels, a promotional email campaign highlighting the award and winners, an invitation to be displayed in feature locations at TAP-sponsored events, tradeshows, Truck & Jeep Fests, along with benefitting by the extensive partner media coverage of the award. The 10 semi-finalists will also be included in the full media campaign as well as receiving ribbons in recognition of the accomplishment.

Transamerican Manufacturing Group Displays Innovative Products at SEMA 2014
Transamerican Manufacturing Group (TMG) brands Pro Comp, Rubicon Express, Smittybilt, Trail Master, LRG Rims and G2 Axle & Gear were all featured in the TMG booth at SEMA 2014. Products like the G2 air locker and pneumatic sway bar disconnect and the Rubicon Express coilover conversion kit for JKs impressed aftermarket industry insiders at the Las Vegas show.
The 47th annual SEMA Show happened November 4-7 with manufacturers showcasing the latest off-road truck and Jeep accessories. The TMG brands booth housed four builds – two Jeeps and two trucks. Parts included were a Long-Travel Suspension System and Series 41 Pro Comp wheels displayed on a 2014 Toyota Tundra Pro Runner truck. Smittybilt SRC bumpers with tire carrier and G2 lockers showed up on a 2011 Jeep JK Atlas.
“The TMG booth at SEMA was a hive of activity and we had a lot of interest in new products,” says TMG Marketing Manager Chloe Eady. “Particularly, Pro Comp’s Long-Travel Suspension was well-received.” Eady added that a lot of the products at SEMA will be displayed and on competing vehicles at the 2015 King of the Hammers.
Started in 1963, the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show is the top worldwide trade show for automotive specialty products. Industry insiders flock to Las Vegas, where vendors showcase their new products including 4×4 parts and accessories for off-roading.
Greg Adler to Serve a New Term on SEMA Board
On July 18, SEMA welcomed Transamerican Auto Parts President and CEO Greg Adler to another term on their board. The installation banquet was held at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel & Conference Center in Pomona, California. The gala event was devoted to announcing the new inductees into SEMA’s Hall of Fame as well as the appointed board members.
Adler’s first term on the board spanned from July 2011 to last year. “I’m proud to serve another term on the SEMA Board of Directors and to support the aftermarket industry,” he says. “I look forward to continuing as a strong advocate for the entire truck and Jeep segment of our industry.”
“Leaders and Legends” was the theme of this year’s SEMA Installation Gala. Aftermarket automotive industry rising stars rubbed elbows with established achievers in the 4×4 industry. “It was our privilege to pay tribute to some of these amazing leaders at our annual SEMA Installation Gala,” says SEMA President and CEO Chris Kersting.

New Smittybilt Products and Builds Debut at SEMA 2013
Smittybilt, maker of innovative truck, Jeep, and SUV products, introduced new parts and accessories at the 2013 SEMA Show. The latest Smittybilt offerings debuting at the Las Vegas event included an X20 Gen 2 winch, Atlas front and rear bumpers, and a defender rack. Different truck and Jeep builds that showcased rigs featuring Smittybilt products included the Overlander Jeep, the “Project Redline” 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck, and the Chevrolet 2500 HD “Chase Truck.”
