4WD continues to get in the spirit of giving during this holiday season and has now donated over $15,000 to various Jeep events and causes this year. Donations go to off-road Jeep club causes and events including medical research, needy children, and 4×4 trail runs and parades.

“The holiday season brings more awareness to causes benefitting those in need so we increase our sponsorships and charitable donations to pay it forward to the Jeep community,” says Kelly Young, 4WD Internet Manager. “We believe in supporting Jeep club events that get off-road enthusiasts together to celebrate our shared passion.”

In November, 4WD donated two $100 gift cards to the first Jeep and Truck Rally presented by the Space Coast Jeep Club and to the 8th Annual Turkey Run held by the High Desert Off-Road Club. The 15th Annual Great Lakes Jeep Thing staged a Toys for Tots parade in Chicago with 244 rigs. “The weather was unseasonably cold, but it didn’t dampen peoples’ spirits,” says president of Chicago Off-Road Expeditions (CORE) Chris Ryan. “We were fortunate to have 4WD donate gift cards that we raffled off at our members party and this raised money for next year’s parade.”

Additionally, 4WD donated two $100 gift cards to the 2nd Annual Kickin’ Cancer with JJ Facebook Auction. Funds raised went toward JJ Bland and his medical expenses for bone cancer treatment. Last, but not least, 4WD donated a Smittybilt XRC 8 winch to the December 7 Christmas party held by the Arkansas Crawlers Jeep club.

4 Wheel Parts Donation Drive Assisting Tornado Victims

Jun 21, 2013   //   by admin   //   Company News  //  No Comments

After devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma City and North Texas, 4 Wheel Parts, has established a donation drive through the American Red Cross to assist victims. The Moore, Oklahoma 4 Wheel Parts store was near the tornado’s destructive path, motivating the company to launch a united nationwide effort to aid the ravaged communities of both states. Donations can be made onsite at 4 Wheel Parts stores across North America.

The relief effort is underway and 4 Wheel Parts has agreed to match donations of up to $10,000. Company President & CEO Greg Adler says “4 Wheel Parts will match up to $10,000 dollars when people donate to the relief effort.” Although the Moore, Oklahoma personnel and their families are safe, the area nearby is devastated. “We want all our store employees and the surrounding communities affected to know they’re in our thoughts and prayers. The relief fund is a way to show our support and make a difference.”

The deadly Oklahoma twister stretched over a mile wide with winds reaching 210 m.p.h. Oklahoma storm chaser Chris McBee described it as an “elephant trunk” and said he hoped local residents had heard the warnings. While FEMA disaster workers were sent to the town of Moore to help with support in the aftermath, another tornado touched down in the area. In the Dallas-Fort Worth region of Texas, tornadoes demolished the towns of Granbury and Cleburne a week before they hit Moore.
