This Saturday, April 25, off-road enthusiasts will descend upon the brand new location for installation specials, hourly prize drawings, giveaways and tours of the state-of-the-art service bay. Compton, California (April 2, 2015) – Today, Transamerican Auto Parts business unit, Dealer Services International (DSI) introduced the COMMANDO™ Jeep Wrangler® concept vehicle. Inspired by the original Hendrick COMMANDO tactical vehicle, this dynamic on and off-road performance platform was exclusively unveiled in Moab, Utah at the 2015 Easter Jeep Safari.
Exhibiting characteristics of its military contemporary, the civilian COMMANDO Jeep concept vehicle is a collaboration between DSI and Charlotte-based Hendrick Dynamics, who worked together in creating its aggressive design, styling and versatile up-fit technology; including an exact replication of the authentic COMMANDO Tan™ exterior color.
Hendrick COMMANDO was a tactical vehicle providing a versatile mobility platform capable of operating across a wide range of missions and terrain, and initially fielded overseas for evaluation purposes in support of a special operations science and technology initiative. Historically, this is the first Jeep utilized in U.S. combat operations since Operation Just Cause in 1989.

Similar to the military version, COMMANDO Jeep is one of the most capable, rugged and versatile concept vehicles ever created with its various suspension upgrades, strong but lightweight 17-inch aluminum wheels and Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 tires. The COMMANDO Jeep can go anywhere with its military-inspired steel flat fender design – for maximum tire clearance and road debris protection – and front-and-rear bumpers with a 9.5K wide-capacity winch to carry hefty loads. Through its Outstanding Trails program that promotes sustainable and responsible off-road driving, BFGoodrich Tires will once again award grants of $4,000 each to three qualified and passionate off-road clubs in North America. These clubs will use their grants to continue their efforts that preserve and protect their hometown trails.
As Outstanding Trails enters its 10th year, BFGoodrich has selected 4 Wheel Parts as presenting sponsor of this year’s program. 4 Wheel Parts will promote the program and provide a critical outreach extension to four-wheel-drive clubs across North America. The program also is conducted in collaboration with United Four Wheel Drive Associations (UFWDA), Blue Ribbon Coalition and the Off Road Business Association.
To date, Outstanding Trails has awarded grants to 36 off-road trails nominated by 35 local clubs throughout North America. The program has provided more than $140,000 in grants in support of these trail conservation efforts.
Nominations will be accepted beginning April 3 through July 10, 2015, on the BFGoodrich Tires website at www.bfgoodrichtires.com. The competition invites off-road clubs from around North America to nominate local trails that merit grants for maintenance or refurbishing. Trails are selected based on uniqueness, terrain type and enthusiast support.

Compton, California (March 29, 2015) – This week, thousands of Jeep and off-road enthusiasts will be making their annual pilgrimage to the picturesque off-road destination of Moab, Utah and multiple subsidiaries of Transamerican Auto Parts (TAP) will be among them. TAP subsidiaries will introduce and display the most recent off-road and Jeep products and vehicles, conduct research and development as well as participate in trail runs sponsored by both 4 Wheel Parts and the Transamerican Auto Parts Wholesale Division.
Featuring some of the best off-road environment in the nation, the event, hosted by Red Rock 4-Wheelers, invites four-wheelers to challenge themselves on trails ranging from a scenic cruise to intense hardcore rock crawling that extracts the most out of man and machine.
